Energy Audits - The First Step
Energy Unlimited relies on the abilities of BPI certified technicians to accurately examine, test, and evaluate the condition of your home’s basic systems relative to energy efficiency, safety, and functionality. As a trade ally of Energy trust of Oregon we work hard to insure that you receive the maximum cash incentives available as well as state and federal tax incentives which are substantial. On average you can expect to achieve as much as 30% savings in energy costs when applying basic energy performance measures.

Our Customizable Programs
Level 1 - Energy Unlimited conducts an evaluation of entire home without using test equipment. We will visually inspect and make recommendations with respect to heating/cooling system, ventilation, hazardous materials, insulation, weather stripping, pipe insulation, duct sealing/insulation, windows, moisture/mold conditions, and space definitions. This approach is not 100% encompassing but can isolate obvious problems. Energy Unlimited can efficiently implement measures to correct problems or make improvements or you can hire a competent contractor of your choice.
Level 2 - Energy Unlimited conducts a complete analysis of your home as with level 1 with the addition of in depth testing with a blower door (pressure and air flow), pressure pan, duct blaster, gas leak detector, atmospheric carbon monoxide detector, combustion gas analyzer, and infrared camera. Tests will be conducted to isolate air leaks, inadequate insulation, leaking exhaust fans, and duct leaks. Some tests are to determine safety issues like high CO levels, gas leaks, or inadequate air flow. Energy Unlimited will make recommendations and can implement measures if chosen as the contractor. We will submit a software generated report showing modeled performance and cost efficiency of different measures as related to individual home data.
Level 3 - Energy Unlimited conducts a complete inspection of entire home and grounds to determine if there are any conditions requiring repair or improvement such as moisture/grading ,ventilation, hazardous materials, and any other issues that will not be entirely determined with the use of test equipment. We will conduct comprehensive testing with the use of blower door, pressure pan, gas leak detector, duct blaster, carbon monoxide detector, combustion gas analyzer, and infrared camera. These tests typically take 4-5 hours and will determine if there are any unhealthy conditions, house air leaks, inadequate insulation, duct leaks, exhaust fan leaks, recessed light air leaks, switch and outlet air leaks, window and door air leaks and low performance, inadequate ventilation, and most other health, comfort, and energy related issues. Energy Unlimited as part of level 3 program will implement some measures that are the most result efficient and can be completed within 12 man hours of labor including test period. These measures would typically involve air sealing, small area insulation, and weather stripping but is not limited to these items. Energy Unlimited will submit a software generated report.
